On behalf of the Governments of Austria, Belgium, Canada, Germany and Norway, and the United Nations Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF), we are pleased to share an invitation for the High-Level Official Launch of the new WPHF Rapid Response Window (RRW) on women’s participation in peace processes and the implementation of peace agreements.

This new mechanism, which was a recommendation of the UN Secretary General in his 2019 annual report on Women, Peace and Security, aims at addressing the immediate technical and logistical barriers to women’s participation in peace processes, such as travel, childcare, translation, advocacy, mobilization and capacity building support.

The high level official launch Championing Women’s Participation in Peace Processes will take place on Thursday 14 January 2021 at 09:30 AM (New York), 3:30 PM (Geneva).
